Amal began as an academically driven student: Full A+ in SSLC and Higher Secondary, then a NEET qualification with an All India Rank around 4,800 and Kerala Rank 625. That work earned him a place at Government Medical College, Kottayam.
An examination valuation dispute during MBBS changed the course of that path. Amal pursued a genuine concern through the Human Rights Commission, the Kerala Legislative Assembly, and the Kerala High Court—an almost three-year legal journey that demanded enormous resilience.
With the support of a psychologist, his family, and especially his mother, Zeenath PK—a teacher with over 25 years of experience—he rebuilt his confidence. His close friend Dr. Malavika, known as Myalu and a senior at Government Medical College, Kottayam during his studies, was also an important source of emotional support. Recording his mother’s classes became an unexpected doorway into a new calling: making difficult ideas easier to understand.
Teaching soon became purpose. The first camera, the first videos, and the first learners became KnowLid: a growing education company built around quality teaching, thoughtful materials, and technology that makes support more available.
